Stacie Lynn Harrington

Stacie made her debut in the story Hard Time and also appeared in Night Moves.  She will possibly have at least a cameo in Echoes of Nye and the long awaited sequel to Secrets, Books & Murder.

Stacie is a 'field qualified' law enforcement officer who, after a few years on the 'beat' with Her training officer and, later, partner Brian Rafe, opted to go to work in the Cascade City/County Detention Facility.  There, she excelled as the logistical officer, senior technician and also as a guard.  Due to her skills, and working relationships with her fellow 'guards,' Stacie was able to smooth the

Transition when a new commander was assigned to the jail.  But she's not going to stay at the CCCD forever.  Nope, she's studying to take two 'advancement' exams…  Sergeant and Detective.  And her 'studymate' is none other than Detective Blair Sandburg. 

A wee bit of background on Stacie…

She's a Marine, born and bred, who saw 'action' during Operation Desert Storm and, after getting her life back on track after a really BAD incident she left the Corps and returned to her Father's home in Cascade.  Dad is an active duty Marine, Brigadier General, currently assigned to Schoefeild Barracks in Hawaii.  In the meantime, Stacie is living 'at home' until Dad retires and comes home.  Helping Stacie to maintain the rather large 'ranch style' home is Keiko Sato, an Okinawan woman who served the Harringtons when Stacie was a very young girl and after Stacie's mother had died in a traffic accident.  Stacie often refers to Ms. Sato as Obaansan which, basically, means "honored elder/female" or "honored grandmother."

She's not exactly a 'loner' but she doesn't date much and prefers the company of her obaansan and her solid grey cat, Piotr.  She also likes to 'tinker' on her own vehicles and when she can't fix or repair a problem, she's been known to breathe down the neck of whichever mechanic she takes the Dodge to.  Currently drives a black Dodge Durango, but once was the proud owner of a Dodge Power Wagon, which her father had won in a poker game with an old Marine buddy while visiting him in San Diego.
